Wine, Wine, Wine
We present wines from our region. These are currently served (come by and see for yourself), drunk up because the guests liked it so much and the wine of the corresponding vintage (this is in the nature of things) could no longer be reordered. Some wines are not served anymore because they were put back, saved, just before they were drunk. And finally, you can read some interesting facts about the wine, the cellar and the pressing process.

2023 Dornfelder Winery Frölich Hake
Rich in fruit, delicate in flavour – this Dornfelder brings juicy sour cherries to the glass, accompanied by subtle hints of almond and a touch of juniper. Maturation in stainless steel tanks ensures a clear, unadulterated bouquet and makes the wine pleasantly approachable.

2022 Cabernet Cortis Barrique Winery Wartenberg
The year 2022 in the Saale-Unstrut region was characterised by an exceptionally high number of hours of sunshine and severe drought. As a result, the already powerful PIWI grape variety Cabernet Cortis (a cross between Cabernet Sauvignon and Solaris) accumulated an exceptionally high sugar content in its berries on the steep slopes of the ‘Naumburger Steinmeister’. It boasts a record-breaking 14.5% alcohol content.

2028: 1000 years of Naumburg, 1030+ years of viticulture in the region
As is well known, Naumburg will celebrate its 1000th anniversary in 2028. The city’s origins are generally traced back to the documented transfer of the bishop’s seat from Zeitz to Naumburg in 1028. Since the 900th-anniversary celebrations in 1928, this significant date has formed the basis for the city’s anniversary celebrations. However, there is also a document stating that viticulture on the Saale and Unstrut rivers began at least as early as 998, i.e. at least 30 years earlier.

Thuringia is home to a number of vineyards that form part of the Saale-Unstrut quality wine-growing region.
