"Round trip through Saale-Unstrut - all in red"
Wine tasting
![]()
With its centuries-old history and complex flavours, red wine embodies the essence of sophistication and cultural heritage. The vineyards on the Saale and Unstrut rivers, many of which are steep and can only be cultivated by hand, as well as the prevailing combination of climate, terroir, suitable grape varieties and careful vinification produce great red wines. Immerse yourself in this world of flavour, all in different shades of red:

Sales exhibition 4, 3 and 1 Max Klinger from February 28, 2025
In the Max Klinger 4, 3 and 1 sales exhibition, eight original etchings are displayed on the walls, four of 15 illustrations from ‘Amor und Psyche’, three of 12 from ‘Intermezzi, Opus IV’ and one out of ten from "A love, Opus X".

Opening Max Klinger 4, 3 and one, once more accompanied by Klingers Muse, 28.02.25, 17 hours
The opening of the exhibition will take place on 28 February 2028 from 17:00 to 20:00. Mr Damerau, the gallery owner and collector to whom we owe the realisation of the exhibition, will honour us with his presence. Even at the last vernissage in December 2024, the matching (like a fist on the eye, so to speak) wine accompaniment was very much to the favour of our visitors. Fortunately, we were able to reorder several bottles. That's why we are once again serving ‘Klingers Muse’, a cuvée of Gelber Muskateller, Traminer and Scheurebe from the cellar of the Grober Feetz winery in Freyburg, to match the items for sale. Grown on the Max Klinger vineyard in Großjena. These etchings are displayed on the walls:
Exhibition ended on 21.12.2024
In our 1st exhibition Max Klinger Originals, 4 original etchings by Max Klinger from the 15 etchings cycle ‘Amor and Psyche’ were presented. We would like to thank the interested public and the expert guests who attended the opening of the exhibition on 6 December 2024: Everything sold, exhibition closed.

Small but fine sales exhibition Max Klinger from December 6, 2024
The 15 illustrations for ‘’Amor and Psyche‘’ by the Roman poet Lucius Apuleius were commissioned by the Munich publisher Theodor Stroefer in 1880. Basically everything has been said and written about Max Klinger, who is known to be buried in the vineyard in Großjena. During our second conversation with the collector and gallery owner, who is presenting four of Klinger's originals in our small café, a reference was made to Klinger's materially very comfortable origins, which are not so well known.
Opening with Klinger's muse on 06.12.2024, 17.00 hrs
On display are 4 original etchings by Max Klinger from the 15-etching cycle ‘Amor and Psyche’.

Ad van der Kouwe: One of 1000 Naumburg facades
Naumburg will be one thousand years old in 2028. To mark the occasion, graphic artist Ad van der Kouwe had the idea of immortalizing 1000 Naumburg facades in graphic form.
The squiggle or the F
We are often asked what that squiggle is that can be seen everywhere. If the quill used by the young Nietzsche had taken up a drop more ink, the horizontal line in the centre would be visible. Then the squiggle would be easier to recognise as a capital F. But there was no more ink, which is why we have to puzzle a little longer.
