Wines labelled as ‘Werkstück Weimar’ are characterised, among other things, by their special growing location: The three closely spaced vineyards in the care of the winegrowers north-east of Weimar, with the climatic heat island of the Thuringian Basin and a unique shell limestone soil, offer the perfect conditions for the so-called Werkstück Weimar wines. They express the essence of the winegrowers' association: a true passion for winegrowing, a deep connection with the local nature and the desire to make these wonderful feelings tangible for other people.

As is well known, Naumburg will celebrate its 1000th anniversary in 2028. The city’s origins are generally traced back to the documented transfer of the bishop’s seat from Zeitz to Naumburg in 1028.
