2024 Levitage Barrique Winery Johannes Beyer
This is a red wine from experimental cultivation. The winemaker has aged it for 12 months in new 225-litre oak barrels.
In the glass, it is a dark red with purple shimmering reflections, and on the palate, it has strong blackberry aromas.

Levitage is a very young (1994) fungus-resistant red wine variety. It was created by crossing the parent varieties Regent and Acolon and is characterised by its high resistance to fungal diseases such as downy mildew and powdery mildew.
Would you like to discover this and other so-called Piwi wines from our region? We highly recommend our guided wine tastings. Our themed wine tasting ‘We rehearse the resistance!’ is ideal for this.
